Telenor Networks Reduces Costs Using TIBCO
Overview In a changing and competitive environment such as the deregulated telecommunications market, a provider's competitiveness and attractiveness heavily depend on lean cost structures. Telenor's management business model proved to be a rather difficult process. Telenor realized that it would need a substantial number of additional people to handle the manual and case-specific distribution of orders to the most appropriate subcontractors. This was deemed unfeasible, and in October 2000, Telenor started to investigate potential IT solutions that would help them to automate this process. The company deployed TIBCO's business process management software automates case-specific distribution of orders to the most appropriate subcontractor.
