Overview Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA), created by a small group of local farmers in Howell, Michigan, in 1916, produces more than three billion pounds of milk annually. MMPA wanted to control costs, preserve the value in custom-developed applications, and maintain the highest levels of reliability, availability, and security needed to deliver excellent service to dairy farmers. As a solution MMPA deployed a Unisys ClearPath Libra Model 300 server to support its core business applications and enable farmers to quickly obtain data, such as test results, online via a secure extranet.
