Data Resources Consolidated in a Unisys ES7000 Environment
Overview The largest health service provider in Israel, Clalit serves 3.7 million citizens through its more than 2,000 facilities across the country. The company wanted to consolidate networked IT resources and provide a virtual, high-performance environment for processing-intensive business intelligence applications. With 2,000 servers and more than 25,000 workstations supported by 27 independently operating IT units, the network could no longer provide the rapid data access and sharing required by network members, let alone supply the capacity needed to store growing amounts of medical data. Deployed with Microsoft SQL Server 2000, ProClarity data analysis, and Citrix data delivery software, the Unisys ES7000 will centralize the management of servers and dozens of key applications and databases, including those supporting customer relationship management and call center operations.
