Positive Identification and Access Control

Overview Unisys and the ES7000 server are doing its part to help fight crime. Working closely with the Chilean Immigration Police, Unisys is assisting with a biometric security solution that addresses forgery problems with travel documents and movement of criminals across borders all the while speeding up airport queues. Two ES7000 servers, employing 1.3 GHz Intel Itanium 2 processors, provide failover capability and support for the biometric security solution at the Chilean International Airport. Each border station uses AssureTec Systems' document reader and a video camera that are connected to the ES7000 servers through a data center to provide a completely integrated solution.
