How Cisco Mobility Solutions Can Reduce Costs and Improve Productivity for Today's Enterprises
Overview This paper presents a model enterprise deployment to illustrate how dual-mode mobility solutions based on Voice over Wireless LAN (VoWLAN) can reduce costs and increase productivity. The Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model used in this paper is based on a large division of a multinational Fortune 500 company with 1000 employees at the site. The model assumes that 40 percent of the employees are mobile and work frequently away from their traditional offices. The model compares the capital, operating, and telecom costs for enabling mobility within this enterprise using a traditional cell phone with the costs for a dual-mode solution.
