Overview Originally founded to meet India's demand for phosphoric acid to produce fertilizer with high-quality phosphate mined in Senegal, Industries Chimiques du Senegal has grown to become the largest industrial complex in the nation. The company wanted to replace disparate financial, procurement, and payroll systems and integrate different processes across the organization. The challenge was to improve production budgeting - costs were inaccurate and took too long to obtain and speed the procure-to-pay cycle and closing of books. The company implemented 11 modules from Oracle E-Business Suite, integrating the company's supply-chain, manufacturing, financials, and human resources processes across the organization. They used Oracle Financials, Oracle Activity Based Management to provide real-time access to accurate information, including production costs and operations.
