Jentro Succeeds With Electronic Piloting

Overview Founded at the end of 2003, Jentro Technologies GmbH is among the market leaders providing GPS-based mobile online navigation. The company wanted to develop a start-up enterprise with highly available, extremely secure, and smoothly upgradeable technology. The challenge was to achieve innovation protection, future security, and high performance. The company installed Oracle Database with Oracle Real Application Clusters (2 nodes) and physical standby system (achieving permanent data mirroring with Oracle Data Guard). They also implemented five Oracle Application Servers with Linux as the application's front end (accessed through a Web portal and mobile phone) and ensured high availability (24x7) and the highest level of data security.
