BlackBerry and mWholesaler Make Financial Sales Team More Competitive
Overview Essex Corporation is one of the oldest national wholesalers of mutual funds, annuities and life insurance, and a division of John Hancock. To prepare for customer meetings and follow-up sales reports, Essex Corporation wholesalers used cell phones and laptops with cumbersome dial-up connections to access the company's CRM database. A more streamlined, less device-intensive solution was needed to improve the effectiveness of these mobile sales people. The BlackBerry Enterprise Solution was extended with mWholesaler from Pyxis Mobile. Wholesalers gained the ability to access the company's salesforce.com CRM system - including contact information, sales history and sales reports - via the mWholesaler solution on their BlackBerry devices.
