Medical-Billing Firm Saves $121,000 Over Four Years, Streamlines Operations With Lexmark Printers and MFPs
Overview RC McLean & Associates, Inc. (RCM) is a 55-person practice-management firm that provides billing and other professional services to more than 300 anesthesiologists and other medical specialists throughout the United States. For a company with just 55 employees, an inventory revealed that RCM had 40 printers. Nearly each employee with a computer had a personal, locally attached inkjet printer at or under their desk. Though attractive for their low purchase price, inkjets are often costly to operate in a high-volume business environment. In addition, inkjet printers, designed for home use are not able to withstand the rigors of continuous use. As a solution RCM installed three strategically located Lexmark networked monochrome laser printers and one MultiFunction Printer (MFP).
