Systems Integrator Has to Deliver Fast, Reliable Networks

Overview Since its founding in 1987, Option+ supports the information technology needs of businesses and public-sector organizations. Many Option+ clients rely on RAID configurations to help protect their data and applications. The company always aims to supply them with the most reliable, fast and economical hard disk drives for these RAID systems, and conducts thorough testing to determine which drives Option+ should recommend and install. Option+ evaluated the Seagate Barracuda ES drive, a Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive with generous capacities ranging from 250 GB to 750 GB. Option+ technicians reviewed the drive's performance in RAID environments on Sun SPARC stations, running on Solaris 8 and 10, and on Intel and AMD platforms running on Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
