Commercial Airline Technology Provider Helps Reduce Flight Operations Administration

Overview Based in the United Kingdom, Evoke Systems, is a software developer that serves the commercial airline industry. Its Electronic Flight Operations System replaces paper-based processes and supports operational tasks typically carried out on commercial planes. Because the application is currently Web based, users must find Internet-connected computers to complete checks and work on documents. To address this, Evoke Systems has created a smart-client version that can help pilots monitor and record information offline using tablet PCs. Evoke Systems created the new application using the Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation, a key element of the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 development environment.
