Intel vPro Technology Offers Providence Health System in Oregon a Favorable Prognosis

Overview Minimizing downtime is critical to delivering the highest level of patient care. Providence Health System needed to identify issues before they disrupt the work of the staff. If they could diagnose problems remotely, they could reduce the number of on-site visits and improve uptime. In addition to reducing deskside visits, the Providence IT group needed to implement more effective ways for keeping track of its large collection of PC assets. Providence worked with Intel Solution Services to identify ways to reduce downtime, improve the accuracy of asset management, and better protect PCs from threats. The Intel consultants introduced Providence to Intel vPro technology, which comprises processor, chipset, networking, and other components that work together to provide extensive remote management capabilities.
