Hanson Aggregates Ltd Improves Control of Business With New Technology
Overview Hanson Aggregates Ltd is one of the United Kingdom's biggest construction materials businesses, with more than 500 operational sites and 4,000 employees. The company wanted to replace a heavily customized, 20-year-old legacy system and a de-supported technology platform. The challenge was to implement a scalable, flexible, reliable system to meet the changing needs of the business and provide good internal control and ensure acceptance of new business system across the company - many staff have a service record of 15 years or more. The company rolled out Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financial Management system across 480 sites and 560 plants in the United Kingdom on time and to budget, using Oracle Consulting Services throughout.
