C.mmp - A Multi-Mini-Processor

Overview This paper includes the analysis of important problem in the hardware design: interference due to multiple processors accessing a common memory. The operating system philosophy and its structure are given together with a detailed analysis of one of the problems incurred in the design. One problem is determining the optimum number of "Locks" which are in the scheduling primitives. The final section discusses a few programming problems which may arise because of the possibilities of parallel processing.
