Using HP StorageWorks XP128 Disk Array With Linux on HP Integrity Servers

Overview This paper discusses configurations using the HP StorageWorks XP128 Disk Array with industry standard Linux solutions. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 4.0 update 1 was used in the creation of this paper to detail the configuration requirements for the platform. Testing was performed on HP Integrity servers. The server was configured for failover and/or load balancing and tested using a workload generation program, data test Program (dt), to simulate an I/O load.
