Using SAS in a Distributed Computing Environment

Overview The Platform LSF software is a software solution which allows organizations to take advantage of their distributed computing resources. By aggregating these resources into a "Virtual supercomputer", the LSF software can be used in conjunction with SAS software to provide various benefits to users of the computing environment. Benefits include: quicker time to solution by enabling the use of distributed processors and by controlling access to limited computer resources, a single user interface to heterogeneous computer systems, centralized resource provisioning using queue priorities and job preemption, and a reliable job scheduling environment enabled by calendar-based and inter-job dependencies.
