Real Estate Company Reduces TCO by 50 Percent and Expects to Increase ROI

Overview Real estate services provider SARES?REGIS Group wanted to upgrade to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne release 8.9. However, its current environment used an IBM AS400 server computer that had already exceeded its expected life cycle, making it difficult to support and limiting its functionality. In addition, the IBM mainframe also lacked failover capability. Finding a reinvestment in IBM technology to be cost-prohibitive, SARES?REGIS selected Microsoft Certified Partner BORN to help it migrate to the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 operating system and to a Microsoft SQL Server 2000 clustered database. As a result of the upgrade, SARES?REGIS reduced its total cost of ownership and expects to increase its return on investment by 50 percent through a reduction in hardware and support costs.
