HP StorageWorks D2D Backup System: A Safety Net for SMBs

Overview The advent of Serial ATA or SATA-based disk-to-disk backup changes the outlook for groups with limited IT resources, providing an inexpensive disk-based technology that can speed up both backup and recovery, streamline both processes, and deliver reliable, automated backups with substantially greater recoverability. HP has taken advantage of this technology in the HP StorageWorks D2D Backup System, a virtual tape solution designed to overcome the backup and recovery challenges facing SMBs and branch offices.
