MSDN Webcast: Object-Oriented Programming for Grid: Grid Computing for .NET (Level 200)

Overview The concept of distributed computing has been around nearly as long as computer networks. Programming for a grid, though, has hardly advanced at all: taking advantage of many processors simultaneously remains a difficult task. Object-Oriented Programming for Grid (OOP-G) allows developers to think in terms of objects, and allows those objects to be distributed across the grid and executed in parallel to improve performance and scalability. This webcast discuss strategies for OOP-G, introducing the Digipede Network, a grid computing platform built on Microsoft .NET. The presenter also demonstrates how to build grid-enabled applications in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.
