The company wanted to prepare for deployment of new mainframe technologies at customer sites; manage rapid growth in demand for processing resources; improve time-to-market for new products; keep total cost of ownership low. The company worked with IBM and Thesaurus to install a new IBM System z9 Business Class (z9 BC) platform with two standard engines, one Integrated Facility for Linux (IFL) engine, one IBM System z Application Assist Processor (zAAP) and one System z Integrated Information Processor (zIIP).
