China Central Television (CCTV) Increases Efficiency of Animation Production With Intel Platforms Running Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating System (OS)

Overview Animation as an art form has been in China since the 1920s. A large population, including some 200 million teenagers, is still fascinated with animated content. To satisfy these audience demands, the Animation Department of China Central TeleVision (CCTV), the national television station of the People's Republic of China, produces about 2,000 minutes of animated content each year. They needed a reliable, high-performance collaborative platform, to ensure the stable operations of their computers during the animation production process. By choosing an Intel architecture based server and client workstation, the Animation Department is confident of smooth interoperability between computers. Intel architecture is also certified by Red Hat for stability on its Linux Operating System (OS).
