Open Source Goes Bigtime
Overview When the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare's (AIHW) IT manager faced ongoing security and integration issues with proprietary infrastructure software, he made a decision to adopt a selection of open source tools which he said get the job done with a good level of support. For Web serving, the institute replaced Oracle's own HTTP server with the standard open source Apache.
