Endo Pharmaceuticals: Enhancing Customer Interactions With IBM and Avaya
Overview Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc. was established in 1997 from a leveraged buyout of The DuPont Merck Pharmaceutical Company. The company wanted to expand communication infrastructure and improve the availability and efficiency of the e-mail and voicemail environment; improve existing telephone systems. To develop and implement this new communication network, Endo turned to IBM Global Services-Integrated Technology Services (ITS). Initially, the IBM staff performed a Network Readiness Assessment and a Modular Messaging Readiness Assessment of the organization's Microsoft Exchange environment. Based on the results of the assessments, the team suggested that Endo consolidate its e-mail systems and upgrade its messaging software with telephony and modular messaging solutions using Avaya products.
