Carrier Frequency Offset Estimation for OFDM-Based WLANs

Overview This paper presents an efficient Carrier Frequency Offset (CFO) estimation algorithm for the Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM)-based Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs). The packet preamble information the authors use is based on the high rate WLAN standards adopted by the IEEE 802.11 standardization group. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
