Student Is Hooked on Networking

Overview Ricardo comes from a small family that resides in Queens, New York. In September 1996 Ricardo arrived at Thomas A. Edison Polytechnic High School and felt frustrated because the only subjects offered were basic curricula. In September 1997, a Cisco Networking Academy was opened at Thomas A. Edison Polytechnic High School. As a junior in high school in 1998, Ricardo registered for the course and had a great deal of success. The Academy, along with his professors, has motivated Ricardo to continue his education and to reach his career goal of being a network engineer. In December 2000, Ricardo tested for his Cisco Certified Network Associate certification.
