Lord & Taylor Uses Monarch Pathfinder Ultra to Speed Merchandise to the Selling Floor

Overview Lord & Taylor, the leading department store chain, relies on UCC-128 bar codes affixed to incoming packages to quickly route packages through its' distribution center and direct them to the proper store. What happens when these critical bar code links in the chain are damaged or scratched, and cannot be read? The company turned to Paxar and its' unique Monarch Pathfinder Ultra printer. When a label cannot be read by the automated sortation system in the distribution center, a Lord & Taylor associate carries the Pathfinder Ultra printer directly to the package. The UCC 128 number is keyed into its integrated keypad, the label is immediately reproduced, and applied directly to the box, all within seconds and with one hand.
