Overview Seoul National University (SNU) is South Korea's premier and largest national university, as well as a leading research center, with more than 30,000 students and 1,700 full-time faculty and 1,400 staff members. SNU is striving to become South Korea's hub for grid computing, taking advantage of networked computers to handle large-scale computing problems. Seoul National University, wanted to enhance the performance and scalability of its supercomputers, to strengthen its position as the heart of the country's grid computing system. By introducing SUSE Linux Enterprise Server as the operating system for its new supercomputer, SNU increased its capacity to help researchers handle even more complex challenges.
