Overview Recently the ATLAS suite (Kurucz) was ported to LINUX OS (Sbordone et al.). Those users of the suite unfamiliar with LINUX need to know some basic information to use these versions. This paper is a quick overview and introduction to LINUX OS. The reader is highly encouraged to own a book on LINUX OS for comprehensive use. Although the subjects and examples in this paper are for general use, they to help with the installation and running the ATLAS suite.
