DB2 UDB "Stinger" Enhancements on Linux

Overview DB2 Stinger is the code name for an upcoming release of IBM DB2 Universal DataBase (DB2 UDB). DB2 Stinger includes exciting new features to improve application programmer productivity and lower total cost of ownership for the customers so that they can gain competitive advantage in managing their information assets. IBM was an early supporter of Linux and continues to demonstrate technology and market leadership on this platform. Enhancing DB2 for Linux environments and exploiting the Linux kernel has been an important part of the continuing evolution of DB2 UDB.
