Practical Integrity Measurement and Remote Verification for Linux Platform
Overview There are various problems in Trusted Computing adaptation in Common Off The Shelf (COTS) operating environment, like Linux. Although a TPM security chip is beginning to spread widely, retrofitting a COTS component with Transitive Trust and a remote platform integrity verification still does not work well, especially the verification performed by a third party. In this paper, while arranging the problem of integrity measurement arisen with COTS components, IBM proposes the practical solution.
