Long & Foster Transforms Its Legacy Property Management System to Provide Real-Time Information and Better Connectivity

Overview Long & Foster is a leading real estate and home ownership company in the Mid-Atlantic Region of United States. The company's legacy Property Management System, based on mainframe architecture, did not provide the requisite support to its 80 Property Managers across 50 offices. The legacy solution had an archaic user interface and was not Internet friendly. With the help of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Long & Foster developed and deployed a Web-based system based on Microsoft .NET technologies. The migration to .NET has several tangible benefits. Real-time information has changed the way Long & Foster associates conduct day-to-day activities. With an open platform, the company can also connect its system to new services, products, or enterprise-wide applications using Web Services and XML.
