Developers Lay the Foundation for Expanded Online Banking Presence

Overview Created from the merger of two banks in 2001, Halifax Bank Of Scotland (HBOS) is a formidable player in the retail and business banking space in the United Kingdom. HBOS offers an impressive and expanding array of services, with its online retail banking services experiencing remarkable growth for the last few years. To support this growth and develop new online services cost-effectively, HBOS needed to modernize its e-commerce application framework. HBOS adopted the Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 and developed a new e-commerce framework by using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. On future projects, developers expect to reduce development time and costs dramatically.
