The Role of EII in SOAs: Leveraging MetaMatrix EII Technology to Enable Service-Oriented Architectures

Overview Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and particularly the most common implementation in Web services, represents a new evolution in application structure and continues the tradition of breaking software dependence on hardware, platform, and technology and, ultimately, on expensive single-vendor dependency. MetaMatrix offers an Enterprise Information Integration solution that allows organizations to extend their legacy, relational or other data sources into a Service-Oriented Architecture. Organizations can use the MetaMatrix System to expose their varied, distributed, and heterogeneous data as integrated data through Web services or through other means.
