Switching to Sun Rescues Massive Oracle Consolidation Project for UHHS

Overview University Hospitals Health System (UHHS), Northern Ohio's premier healthcare delivery system, has consolidated multiple disjointed business systems onto a massive Oracle on Sun system, which has introduced efficiencies and data integrity throughout the organization. USSH wanted to consolidate multiple disparate, legacy business systems into a single integrated business solution suite across entire organization. It also wanted to save costs by introducing efficiency and automation to business operations. To solve this USSH turned to Sun. Sun provided consultants from Sun Services to work alongside BearingPoint and ACS personnel. Sun provided a Project Manager as well as experts in the areas of storage, domaining, Oracle implementation, clustering, and physical installation.
