MobiCom Deploys State-of-the-Art Optical Network With Cisco Solution

Overview The Mongolia-Japan joint MobiCom Corporation started its regular operation March 18, 1996. MobiCom Corporation employs digital GSM technology, which is the state-of-the-art system among the existing mobile communication systems. MobiCom, a Mongolian mobile communications service provider, upgraded its Cisco Internet Protocol Next-Generation Network (IP NGN) architecture by deploying an advanced optical solution using the Cisco ONS 15454 SDH MultiService Provisioning Platform (MSPP). The new optical solution helps enable MobiCom to increase revenues by converging its mobile and Internet traffic into a unified optical transport platform.
