HER SOA - History, Environment and Rating Information Enabled SOA.
Overview The explosion in popularity of SOA has led to the development of applications in 'Mash-up' format with little regard to client's non-functional requirements. These 'Mash-ups' or web application hybrids are certainly a potential driving factor in the increased use of SOA based applications. This position paper outlines the need for the inclusion of a client's non-functional requirements in the decision as to the selection of services. Further it is proposed that the inclusion of information such as the history of past transactions, service provider rating and environmental information will prove instrumental in the development of such a system. The proposed system and simulations are briefly described.
