Authoring Blackboard Learning System Content With Macromedia Flash 8
Overview Many Learning Management Systems (LMS) now include HTML editors for simple content authoring, yet the functionality of these LMS content authoring tools is not particularly robust. Post-secondary institutions are looking beyond the content editors of most LMS's for a content authoring solution that allows automated production of interactive, media-rich, reusable learning content that is compatible with, but not permanently fused to, the LMS. The answer lies in the union of best-in-class content authoring tools and education-focused learning management systems. This paper explores the value of authoring academic content using Macromedia Flash to extend the capabilities and increase the return on investment of a campus LMS.
