Mapping Requirements to Architecture: An Experience Report From the VIVIAN Project

Overview The goal of the VIVIAN project is to develop a middleware platform which will promote the development of 3rd party, component based, mobile applications. This paper describes two additional requirement classification schemes, one from the architectural aspects viewpoint which is based on three system models presented in the paper and the other from the abstraction levels viewpoint which produces four layers of abstraction. The resulting 3D classification scheme is shown in this paper to provide a better understanding of how to map requirements to the VIVIAN architecture.
