Johnson Health Network Adopts Cisco Solutions for Communications and Robust Network With Cisco Partner TCI

Overview The director of IT for Johnson Health Network (JHN) had two converging technology issues that he wanted to resolve. First, the network infrastructure had to be upgraded to meet data delivery goals for new medical and document-imaging applications. At the same time, the health network was communicating via a 20-year-old disparate Nortel phone system. In the course of his research, the director met Total Communications, Inc. (TCI), a Cisco Premier Certified Partner. TCI conducted a discovery phase and determined that the hospital needed to upgrade its data network with a new core and new edge LAN switches and designed a network to replace all of the old phones with a Cisco Unified Communications system.
