Overview First Health Group, headquartered in Virginia. First Health is the leader in public sector heath care administration, supplying 24 states with claims processing services, pharmacy benefit administration and plan utilization reports. All of this is done with First Health's Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS). MMIS processes millions of claims every year. Because the system was so complex, when an agency made a request for a new report or a new claims settlement policy, it was becoming increasingly difficult to determine what databases and tables would be affected. First Health used AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler during the development phase to ensure that development was on track according to the data model.
