Visa International Creates Support System to Monitor Its Pilot Program
Overview Visa International is recognized worldwide for the huge role it plays in enabling commerce. An association of 21,000 member financial institutions, Visa supports worldwide sales of more than U.S.$3.4 trillion. It's constantly exploring new products and services to bring to market. Visa wanted to find a way to better monitor and report on a pilot program for its Data Services concept. But it needed to do so without touching the mainframes and other systems that run its operations. Visa created its solution using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 and the Microsoft .NET Framework. Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition serves as the data store, and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services is used for reporting.
