Gavleborg's Medical Images Are Secure Yet Available With HP Archiving

Overview Sweden's Landstinget Gavleborg health authority wanted secure, efficient storage and retrieval of medical images. Radiologists and physicians need to have quick access to those files, particularly in a trauma situation, where the need for speed and reliability is critical. They also need the ability to collaborate with other specialists in different locations in order to determine the correct diagnosis. Images need to be stored for short-term use but by law, they also need to be stored on a long-term basis. Landstinget Gavleborg chose to implement an HP Medical Archive System (MAS) with HP StorageWorks EVA5000 disk arrays.
