Overview The transportation business in the United States is tough, with four times more truck loads than there are drivers. That's why Landstar, the global third-party capacity and logistics service provider, does everything it can to add value to the services that it offers independent capacity providers and agents. Landstar wanted to enable truckers to connect to the truck/load matching system using a tool they could access from the road - the phone. To add voice notification to its truck/load matching service, Landstar used Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database software, Speech Server 2004, and the Visual Studio 2005 development system.
