New Zealand Defence Forces Achieves a Secure Standards-Compliant Messaging System With CA's eTrust Directory and BrightStor High Availability

Overview In June 2003, the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) issued a request for proposals for a multi-phase project to replace its existing military messaging system with a next generation, standards-compliant military messaging system. The new system will ultimately allow the secure exchange of military messages with attachments with allies and partners around the world as well as addressing dedicated services internal to the NZDF. Fujitsu New Zealand won the tender to deliver phase one and two of the project. Fujitsu adopted CA's eTrust Directory r8.1 as the backbone directory service. CA's BrightStor High Availability data replication services provide replication of non-directory data such as messages, and logs between messaging servers.
