The Technical University Eindhoven (TU/e) specializes in engineering, science, and technology. TU/e wants to provide its students, faculty, and staff with efficient communication and collaboration tools, including the latest developments in messaging technology, so the university evaluated a beta version of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. The new solution complements the university's current enterprise-messaging system based on Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. TU/e is already seeing benefits in spam filtering, easy mailbox migration, and IT management. Users can more conveniently access their mailboxes with new features in Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access. And soon, with unified messaging, users will be able to access e-mail, voice mail, and faxes from a single inbox and hear e-mail and voice mail over the telephone.
