Enable or Disable ActiveX Controls in Office Documents

Overview This paper explains the risks involved in enabling ActiveX controls and how the Trust Center in the 2007 Microsoft Office system can help to mitigate these risks. In this paper, the term "Document" refers to any Office file that can contain ActiveX controls. An ActiveX control can be as simple as a text box or more complex, such as a special toolbar, an entire dialog box, or a small application.
