Overview To serve its customers where they live and work, LandAmerica Financial Group, Inc., a leading real estate transaction services provider in the United States, maintains 700 offices across the nation. As the company grew and added new services, managing and maintaining the company's network became increasingly challenging and expensive. To simplify management, reduce costs, and manage growth, LandAmerica first upgraded its domain infrastructure from Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 to Microsoft Windows 2000 Server with Active Directory directory service. Then, to benefit from Directory Service enhancements and to lay the groundwork for improved service and additional cost savings, the company upgraded its infrastructure to Microsoft Windows Server 2003.
