Single Sign on Increases Network Security While It Lowers Costs and Improves User Productivity

Overview Covad Communications is increasing network and application security even as it reduces the cost and complexity of managing network security through the use of Microsoft Windows Server 2003. Microsoft's latest server operating system and its updated Active Directory directory service are enabling Covad to build a single sign on system that helps protect network resources as well as streamlines user access to them. Windows Server 2003 also provides services that enable Covad to manage and authenticate PKI certificates from wireless users and load-balance virtual private network sessions with remote users.
