Overview Tesco is the leading United Kingdom grocery retailer. Its corporate strategy is centred on placing the customer at the heart of all its operations. Tesco wanted to replace an ageing weighing scales infrastructure at its in-store delicatessen, fish, and meat counters, because of difficulty in quickly finding product information and slow customer service. The retailer asked its technology partner Conchango, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, to design scales that could be networked into its existing IT systems, so staff could receive information at their fingertips. Conchango developed a system based on the Microsoft .NET Framework.
