Software Company Delivers 64-Bit Fidelity and Speed for Computer-Aided Engineering
Overview Fluent, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of ANSYS, Inc. (NASDAQ: ANSS), provides simulation software and technologies designed to optimize product development processes. Fluent Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software is used for simulation, visualization, and prediction of fluid flow, heat and mass transfer, and chemical reactions. Fluent customers performing simulations on the Windows operating system want to include more detail and accuracy in their modeling, while reducing the turnaround time for computations. To meet this need, Fluent ported and optimized its fluid flow simulation software, FLUENT V6.3, to run on the 64-bit Microsoft Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 operating system.
